Mt. Jefferson. Also pinched.

Mt. Jefferson from Timberline Lodge. Also pinched. On a clear day we have a great view of Mt. Jefferson turning left from my parents’ street onto the main road (they live at the top of a hill).

Ben hiking in OSU’s McDonald Research Forest (Peavy Arboretum).  We did this 3 to 4 times a week when Ben was small. Our favorite trail was a 3 1/2 mile trail; Ben usually walked the last mile.

Beverly Beach.

I foresee a RH meet-up, PacNW-style… My parents live 4 hours away from Seattle—very doable. The train going up is also nice. We’re an hour from the ocean and anywhere from 10 minutes to an hour or two from wherever else you’d want to go. (Except Eastern or Southern OR — that’s a bit of a hike. Worth it, but a hike.)

Ah, you feel it too! I can’t wait for our return to Oregon– it’s growing nearer! We’re in the hottest place ever with thick smoggy air and haven’t felt the rain, real rain, in years. Homesick!

Smog, yuck! I’m glad we don’t have that, that’s for sure! But I’m glad you’re getting back to the best state ever, very soon. :)
